Chapter #1010
Eugene/Springfield

Jan. 10th, sharing their passion and dedication for Ballroom Dancing, some 35 to 40 dancers were on the dance floor at 5pm, eagerly awaiting the Intermediate lesson in Waltz.
The wait was 1,000 times worth it!

Julie Reid, (Eugene),with her natural ability, competency and professional background delivered the highest quality in dance instruction our chapter could hope for.
Each artful demo was presented with clarity, rendering evidence the students "got it", and enjoying every pattern with her through technique and styling.
Julie taught and demonstrated the twinkle, left wing, change step to outside partner into a develope. (sp). OOOOOOOOOO-SO IMPRESSIVE, JULIE!
At 6pm (Waltz), Julie shifted everything into basic steps and patterns for the beginning dancer. At this time the floor had even more dancers, and fairly equal with leads and follows.
Julie, again, brought out poise and grace in this most beloved dance. Presenting "line of dance", body frame and connection, 1 2 3 count with many other helpful steps/patterns designed for the beginning student.....so clearly demonstrated, and at the same time keeping this large group organized, and in her total command.
All students participating, no doubt, left with a feeling of confidence, more knowledge and eager to expand their dancing skills each time the DJ played a Waltz number.
Julie, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You can expect this chapter to request a repeat engagement in the future. Just excellent.

Robert Phaigh, (our DJ), as always, was well prepared with his great selection of music for our ballroom dancing pleasure. Thanks, Robert.
We praise, adore, appreciate and love all of our DJ's. Without you, there would be no dance!

COMING ATTRACTIONS
Feb. 14th, second Sunday.
Wayne Herendeen, (Ballroom Parkrose Portland), teaching Intermediate Rumba.
Intermediate Rumba lesson at 5pm.
Beginning Rumba lesson at 6pm.

Wayne has visited our chapter several times in the past and is always a "crowd pleaser", bringing to his classes fun and enjoyment, as well as his mature and experienced dancing skills.
NOTE
Wayne and Valerie will entertain us with a Rumba/Mambo routine.
You will not want to miss this one! Don't forget your applause and cheers.
See how smooth they "transition" from Rumba to Mambo during this routine.

March 14th, second Sunday.
Foxtrot, teacher, Paul Johnson, (StaverDanceSport Eugene).
If you recall last October, Paul taught two (2) great lessons in Foxtrot, and Paul promises a variety of patterns and steps we all can learn from,
thus, making it more enjoyable to dance this popular ballroom dance....Foxtrot.
Intermediate lesson at 5pm.
Beginning lesson at 6pm.
Plan now to take advantage of these lessons from on of Eugene's better dance instructors.

April 11th, second Sunday.
Too soon to "let the cat out of the bag", because of the risk of a "riot" it could cause, thus creating excitement, with holler-n & scream-n, rock-n & roll-n of course all this would be in a "non-violent" and courteous manner. TO BE CONTINUED!
